Green Gather
"Green Gather" is centered on the idea that "Circulation is not the end; it is the beginning of value's renewed flow," responding to the current challenges posed by resource depletion and climate change. As the linear economy of "production-consumption-disposal" is increasingly failing, this exhibition re-asks: Does the value of an item end when it is discarded? Can a more sustained relationship exist between people and resources?
The exhibition is jointly promoted by the Ministry of Environment, Resource Circulation Administration (RECA) MOENV, and Rotary International District 3522. Targeting "maximizing resources and minimizing waste," it redefines the essence of the circular economy through circular design cases in textiles, plastics, electronics, and construction: circulation is not an end point but a process of continuous value extension. "Gather" signifies convergence and collection, symbolizing the reintegration of resources, ideas, and people, allowing discarded materials to re-enter the market and daily life, thus forming a new value cycle.
The exhibition is structured around "Production Circulation" and "Consumption Circulation" as its core frameworks, emphasizing that the truly important aspect of circulation is not the end point, but the sustained value generated by every exchange and transfer. Exchange is not merely buying and selling, but redistribution and relationship restructuring; circulation is not an ending, but a continuously flowing system.
Therefore, the exhibition space uses the metaphor of a marketplace and a trading post, transforming the exchange nodes of the circulation system into a walkable spatial structure, allowing visitors to feel the flow of resources as they move and pause. It also incorporates an O2O consumption pathway, ensuring that circular design does not merely remain an exhibit but also enters actual choices and daily behaviors.
Visually, "Interweaving, Connection, and Matrix" serve as the vocabulary, utilizing spheres and arrows to symbolize the Earth, resource circulation, and the direction of flow, forming a network-like green gathering structure that allows the concept of circulation to be intuitively perceived.
Ultimately, the exhibition hopes visitors will take away not just products, but a new set of values—a renewed understanding of the relationship between "owning," "using," "exchanging," and "disposing," allowing circulation to become a way of life and the starting point toward a sustainable future.
