The exhibition “Thermal Echoes: A Dialogue in Sculpture of Pu Tian-Sheng & Pu HaoMing” centers on the concept of “warmth” to present the father-son duo’s sculptural works. From the perspective of family lineage, the exhibition explores how the two artists, bonded by blood, convey emotional connections through their sculptures. Simultaneously, from an art historical viewpoint, it examines how their artistic journeys reflect the warmth of Taiwan’s art history across the first and second halves of the 20th century. The exhibition delves into multiple facets—art history, familial affection, the body, history, and society—to share the developmental narratives and stories behind the works of both artists.
Sculpture is a multisensory experience; touch is integral to the artist's creative process. Each element expresses the artist's unique vision, from the selection of materials to the meticulous development of surface textures. This exhibition features a dedicated tactile learning area, inviting sighted and visually impaired visitors to engage with the artwork through touch. Visitors can connect with the artists' intentions by physically exploring these pieces and discovering the humanistic essence and inherent warmth embedded within each sculpture.
